At Scorpion Design, Inc. we strongly believe in giving back—both to the local community and to people in need throughout the world. As such, we are proud to have kick-started what we like to call "Scorpion Cares"—a monthly and annual effort to reach out and help. As a monthly part of Scorpion Cares, after we have honored our Employee of the Month (EOM), we will give a monetary donation to their charity of choice. In cases where there are multiple EOM, we will donate to multiple charities.
Then, at the end of every year, we will donate an even larger sum to the charity selected by the year's chosen MVP. Beyond that, we will find one lucky organization to give a free website. In some cases, this may be the same charity that we gave the monetary donation to or may be a separate charity altogether. Charities, however, are only part of the equation for Scorpion Cares. On some years, instead of giving this website to a charity, we will find a small local business and donate a free website, along with a year of free web hosting, to help give them the support that they need to get off the ground.
By regularly donating and reaching out to the local community, as well as giving back intermittently throughout the year, Scorpion hopes to strengthen the neighborhood around us and truly become an active community partner. We know that this economy can be difficult and we want to support the people who surround us, from local businesses looking to get their foot in the door to national charities doing their best. This is because at Scorpion, we truly do care and it is our mission to strengthen and improve the world through philanthropic efforts, active participation and every other possible way we can.
